Leading with your Nervous System
June 21, 2023
12:00PM - 1:00PM EDT
$50/Person
Join this session to learn how to leverage your nervous system to lead a confidently.
Your nervous system is the most powerful tool to lead confidently. Scientific research shows that your emotions stimulate specific activities in your nervous system. This means that your nervous system has the intelligence to distinguish between positive and negative emotions and different negative emotions.
-
During this event, Jessica will cover two types of stress responses in your nervous system: one that protects us from physical harm and another from emotional damage. She has experience in social services, a crisis intervention background career and understands human psychology and the need to feel seen, heard and safe. She also knows how and why your nervous system is not intact can cause leaders and staff to inappropriately respond to situations which negatively impact the team.
She will provide you with the tools to understand what happens when your nervous system is not working properly, how it affects you as an individual, your family and especially as a leader or member of a team.
Attendees will learn:
Why your nervous system is not intact
How it affects you as an individual
How it affects your family life
How it affects leadership roles
When you feel good, your sympathetic nervous system triggers a cascade of physiological responses that boost your energy levels and prepare you for action. When you feel bad, on the other hand, your parasympathetic nervous system releases hormones that calm down your body and help you recover from stress.
So when you're feeling calm and confident, you're activating the parts of your brain associated with alertness and attentiveness—and when you're feeling stressed out or anxious, those parts of your brain aren't working as well.

Failing Confidently
July 19, 2023
12:00PM - 1:00PM EDT
$50/Person
Join this session to learn how to be successful by failing confidently.
Failing is a part of success. It’s true! Too often, the fear of failure stops many people from pursuing their dreams. But if you want to be successful, you have to learn how to fail confidently.
-
Our speaker, Jessica J. Seron, Founder of Unconventional Freedom is no stranger to this topic. Trapped for years, Jessica was afraid of stepping outside her comfort zone. As a little immigrant girl, Jessica was ostracized for her culture, race, and gender.
Failing has stopped many people from pursing their dreams, taking risks and, worst of all, ignoring that little voice inside that is nudging them toward their wildest dreams.
Failing confidently is an art of practice and complete radical shift in the meaning we give things. It's about accepting loss as part of life and using failure as an opportunity to learn new things. We can't succeed without failing first!
During this group session, we will learn more and discuss the following:
Fail, up I said it fail but we will how to fail differently
Be honest with yourself about what went wrong in your last attempt at something new or challenging.
Take time to reflect on what happened and why it went wrong before you try again.
Think about what you could have done differently, but don’t dwell on it too long—you need to move forward with your life!
Remember that failure is not the end but rather a stepping stone on your path toward success

Spiritual Hygiene
Aug. 16, 2023
12:00PM - 1:00PM EDT
$50/Person
Join this session to learn about spiritual hygiene and how that can help you on the road to success.
Don't let anyone con you into believing they have all the answers. I know it's tempting to get swept up in someone else's enthusiasm, especially when they're so confident and passionate about what they believe to be true. But remember that even if someone is convinced of their own wisdom, that doesn't mean it's true for you—and it definitely doesn't mean it's healthy for you!
-
People who are more enlightened than the rest of us can be manipulative, because they know how to prey on our vulnerabilities. They may use our own experiences and words against us, or they might use reverse psychology or other manipulative tactics to make us think we're doing something good for ourselves when we're actually just being manipulated by an ego-driven individual.
So don't let yourself be fooled by people who claim to have all the answers!
Instead, seek out wisdom from trusted sources—like friends and family members—or try reading a book on the subject of spiritual health or spirituality itself. And if someone tries to sell you their way as the only way? Don't buy into it!
Our speaker, Jessica J Seron, is unconventional as they come; she is enthusiastic, spiritual, fun, thought leader, and she has been caught by many spiritual advisors that are caught in their egos and trying to sell or convince her and others that they have all the answers. The truth is no one has all the answers and not everyone's answers are the same for each person and this is the beauty of life and the spiritual journey. However, Jessica doesn't like being sold or convinced by someone who claims they have all the answers. She wants to know what she needs to do on her own terms. So here are some steps you can take to ensure your own spiritual hygiene
Join this engaging virtual event, and discover how to dive in deeper to discover our own spiritual hygiene, including learning how to:
Know Your Sources
Follow Your Intuition
Question Everything
Practice Self-Care

Business ethics has become a hot topic among consumers and investors as more companies have been found guilty of unethical behaviour. The media has played an important role in highlighting these issues through investigative journalism and whistle-blowing by former employees.
